Catholic Book Publishing, the Nation's leading publisher of liturgical books, turned to Novocent for marketing and advertising support for the new product launch of the Church sanctioned 2011 update to the Holy Roman Missal.
Novocent's wide gamut of talents was tested with the launch campaign for the 2011 Roman Missal. This Church sanctioned update of the Missal, which had not happened in over 40 years, had brought a number of new publishers to the table. Catholic Book Publishing, the nations largest liturgical book publisher, tasked Novocent with the responsibility of differentiating its Roman Missal from that of its competitors and to create a compelling direct mail piece which conveyed their 100+ years of experience and publishing excellence that they brought to the project. This presented a daunting challenge since none of the books had yet been printed at the time of the launch.
Custom photography and professional retouching became the cornerstone for differentiating Catholic Book Publishing from its’ competitors. Novocent was able to photo-realistically render the upcoming missals and create a dynamic marketing campaign reflective of the quality and hand-crafted tradition which has set the publisher apart for four generations. The campaign was a tremendous success, with well over $3 million in sales, Catholic Book enjoyed one of its most well received new product launches and was back to press numerous times in the space of the first 12 months.
